Being a caregiver can be a joyful and rewarding experience. It can also feel stressful, frustrating, and overwhelming at times. That’s why we partnered with the Rosalynn Carter Institute for Caregivers (RCI)– an organization focused on supporting family caregivers – to create a Caregiver Stress course. This course will help you reflect on the understandable challenges you often experience as a caregiver and learn how to work through them in healthy, productive way.

Incorporate quick tips into your daily life.

We know caregivers have limited time, so this short, audio-based course includes quick and simple tools you can build right into your busy life. In just a few minutes per day, you will learn how to break unwanted stress-induced habits and integrate evidence-based self-care behaviors into your caregiving routine.

Step-by-step guidance

Through seven lessons, the Caregiver Stress course will help you learn how to better care for yourself as a caregiver. First, you will be prompted to acknowledge your self-care needs as a caregiver. Then, you will gain an understanding of what causes your stress and anxiety as a caregiver and how to better manage it. At the close of the course, you will have a practical toolkit to support you in your journey as a caregiver.

Tools in your toolkit

In addition to this course, you can leverage additional complementary tools within the Unwinding app. To build your awareness skills, use the Check-In or Mindful Moments feature that prompts you to take less than a minute to pause and reflect on how you are feeling. Additionally, the HACK (Habits, Awareness, Curiosity, Kindness) and Self-compassion Take 5 exercises will guide you through five-minute self-care exercises.
